My campaign shows "0 views" even though it's active

If your campaign status is set to Active but the Analytics page or Campaigns page shows zero views, the campaign is likely not displaying to visitors. Work through these checks in order.

1. Check that the app embed is active

This is the most common cause of zero views. If the app embed is off, no campaigns can display - and no views are recorded.

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize on your current theme
  3. Open App embeds (in the left sidebar)
  4. Make sure 1ClickPopup is toggled on
  5. Click Save

You can also check the app embed status indicator on the 1ClickPopup dashboard - if it shows "Inactive," this is the issue.

Important: The app embed is per-theme. If you recently switched themes, you'll need to activate it again on the new theme.

2. Confirm the campaign is actually displaying

A campaign can be Active but still not show due to display rules. Open your store in an incognito/private browser window and visit the page where the campaign should appear.

If the popup doesn't show, the issue isn't with analytics - the campaign isn't displaying at all. See My popup isn't showing on my store for the full troubleshooting checklist.

3. Check your date range filter

The Analytics page and Campaigns page both use date range filters. If the selected date range doesn't include the period when the campaign was active, views will show as zero.

  1. Go to the Analytics page
  2. Check the date range in the filter bar
  3. Make sure it covers the period when your campaign has been live

4. Check if your campaign just went live

If you activated the campaign very recently (within the last few minutes), views may not have been recorded yet. Give it some time - check back in an hour or after your store has received some traffic.

If you have very low store traffic, it may take longer for the first views to register. The campaign only counts a "view" when a visitor actually sees the popup, not when they visit your store.

5. Check your display rules for overly narrow targeting

Your campaign may be active but targeting a very small audience. Check the Settings tab for rules that could exclude most visitors:

  • Visitor type set to "Returning visitors only" on a new store with mostly first-time visitors
  • Geolocation targeting a small region while most traffic comes from elsewhere
  • Cart value threshold set too high for your typical visitor
  • Klaviyo targeting filtering to a very small segment
  • Customer status set to "Logged-in customers only" when most visitors browse without logging in
  • Page URL rules limiting the campaign to a page that gets little traffic

6. Check your store traffic

If your store has very low traffic overall, zero views may simply reflect low visitor volume - not a technical problem. Check your Shopify Analytics (in Shopify Admin → Analytics) to confirm that your store is receiving visitors during the period in question.
